As the weather turns cold and the valley gets quieter, the winery becomes a place to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the little things that make this time of year special. At Hester Creek Estate Winery, we’re embracing the season’s magic with a lineup of holiday events for everyone. From family-friendly markets to elegant wine-paired evenings, there are plenty of ways to make the most out of this holiday season.

Origin Estate Dinner

On Saturday, November 28th, we’re welcoming the season with an elegant Estate Dinner celebrating the Origin Series, our most premium collection of wine and a favourite among those who know and love Hester Creek.

The evening brings together three distinctive reds: The Judge, Undici, and Garland. Each has its own personality, from the depth and structure of The Judge to the bold, Italian-inspired character of Undici and the familiar elegance of Garland. These wines were made to be enjoyed slowly, shared generously, and remembered long after the evening is over.

Chef Adair and his team at Terrafina have thoughtfully curated a menu designed to bring out the best in every glass. Discover how carefully chosen ingredients, precise preparation, and unforgettable wines can come together to create a one-of-a-kind experience.

Adding a special touch to the evening, winemaker Mark Hopley will be joining us to share the stories behind each wine. From the inspiration behind the blends to the details that make each vintage unique, guests will have the opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation for the wines we know and love.

The holidays are just around the corner, and we’re bringing a little extra festive cheer to the Wineshop! Join us November 27 – 29 and December 4 – 6 for a few seasonal treats to enjoy alongside your favourite Hester Creek wines.

Warm up with our Grilled Cheese Pairing Flight, featuring three different cheeses melted between slices of baguette, paired with a flight of three wines. Choose from a White, Mixed, or Red flight for $20 and find your favourite combinations.

While you’re here, enjoy a complimentary cup of mulled wine and some complimentary truffle popcorn to make your visit feel a little more like the holidays.

Holiday Market at Hester Creek

The holidays are always better when shared, and this year, we’re excited to bring a little extra festive cheer to Hester Creek with our very first Holiday Market! We wanted to create a chance to celebrate the season with the community that has supported us throughout the year.

On Saturday, December 5th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, we’re opening the doors to our Wineshop for an afternoon of holiday shopping, good food, and festive fun. Admission is free, so bring your friends and family, soak up the holiday spirit, and get a little Christmas shopping done. Visit our website for more information!

It would not be a Hester Creek event without a live performance. Enjoy live music from local singer-songwriter Joshua Smith as he sets the tone for a festive afternoon at Hester Creek.

No holiday market is complete without something good to eat or drink! Enjoy special pricing on wine by the glass or warm up with a complimentary sample of our mulled wine. If you love it as much as we do, take home a mulled wine kit to enjoy yourself or gift to someone on your shopping list.

Terrafina will be serving up chili to keep you warm, and for something sweet (or savoury), visit our s’mores station and enjoy a little treat during your visit. Come hungry and ready to enjoy some of our favorite festive flavours of the season.

Holiday Cooking Class Dinners

Our Cooking Class Dinners are a favourite for a reason. With just 14 seats available, each dinner offers a personal experience, where guests can watch Chef Adair in his element, learn about the inspiration behind each dish, and enjoy each course as it’s prepared.

With menus shaped by local ingredients and seasonal flavours, no two dinners are ever quite the same. These evenings tend to sell out quickly, making each cooking class a special opportunity to experience Hester Creek from a different perspective. From the state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen to the conversations around the table, it’s the kind of evening guests talk about long after they leave.
