2012 Daily Guest Experience

 New tasting experiences at Hester Creek;
Food and Wine Experience
Join us in our kitchen as our experienced staff share with you, a food and wine paired delight. Taste three wines with a few bites of Tuscan inspired fare prepared by Terrafina Executive Chef Jeremy Luypen, while having a wine shop associate take you through the pairing and discuss the history and winemaking of Hester Creek.

Friday and Saturdays in June • 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30pm

Vineyard Tour and Tutored Tasting
Start with an educated tour of our Estate winery then relax in our private dining-room as we take you through a tutored wine tasting. Learn the Hester Creek philosophy and taste the wines that have made us a destination.

Cooking Classes at Hester Creek Estate Winery offer you the rare experience of interacting with an acclaimed Chef in an intimate setting. You are one of only 14 guests seated at a granite island in a state of the art kitchen. The multi-course menu skillfully pairs delicate and intricate flavours with our award winning wines. Watch as the Chef prepares each course before you and shares little known culinary secrets. Take home the recipes as well as the memory of a truly unique experience.

Cooking class dinner menus will be posted as they are made available. Classes are $110.00 per person for food and wine, plus applicable taxes and 15% gratuity. Door to door shuttle service is available for each class by prior arrangement.

Chef Bios

Chef Jeremy Luypen
Executive chef and proprietor Jeremy Luypen was born in the Fraser Valley of BC. At a young age he already knew that he enjoyed cooking for friends and family. While attending Okanagan University College in Kelowna, Jeremy enrolled in the Culinary Arts program. Following graduation Jeremy joined the culinary team at Okanagan Golf Course where he would work his way up to Sous Chef. Seeking a new challenge, Jeremy accepted a position at the Chicago Chophouse in Calgary, Alberta. After almost 3 years and feeling the pull of family, Jeremy came back to Kelowna and continued his culinary journey at the Hotel Eldorado. He saw the Eldorado through multiple dining awards and growth but after 4 years was given the opportunity to be an executive chef at Passa Tempo in Osoyoos. In 2011 Jeremy had a dream come true in opening his own restaurant, Terrafina at Hester Creek. With the help of co-owner April Goldale, Terrafina has become a huge destination in the South Okanagan and a fabulous addition to the Hester Creek property. It boasts authentic “Tuscan inspired” dishes and a wood fired oven, great pastas and lots of delicious BC wine.

Chef Ricardo Scebba
Chef Ricardo Scebba’s strong Italian roots have led him to focus on Italian and Mediterranean cuisine at his Kelowna restaurant, "Ricardo's Mediterranean Kitchen." Born in Montreal to Italian parents, Ricardo began cooking at 16 and earned a degree in Restaurant Management from St. Clair College. He worked in Toronto and Montreal prior to moving to Vancouver in 1981. Ricardo met his wife and partner, Sue Miller, while working at a Granville Island restaurant. Together they left the city for Kelowna and opened their Lake Country restaurant in 2001. www.ricardos.ca

This season we wanted to offer music on the patio to enhance the experience of our guests, we are pleased to introduce to you the Music at Hester Creek. All musical events will be held outdoors so please do dress for the weather. Purchase treats from our well-stocked deli fridge and enjoy a glass of wine on the patio, or bring a blanket and your own picnic fare. We look forward to sharing this wonderful season with you!

Trama 
If you missed them last year, you will want to mark Friday July 6th on your calendar. Doni Underhill, Ray Roper, Brian Lousley and David Wills are the voices of ‘Trama’, a band which has been a mainstay in the Vancouver music scene for over two decades.

Though primarily a classic rock band, they stay current by including some of the newest songs on today’s charts in their sets. Trama has a good sense of what the market is calling for and attribute the band’s success to having the savvy to recognize what people want to hear. They understand their audience and can be counted on to get you on your feet dancing the night away!

Hester Creek is planning the 1st Garlic Festival for the south Okanagan. Join local musicians, growers and chefs as we expereince all that garlic has to offer. The evening will conclude with a garlic featured winemakers dinner at Terrafina Restaurant.
