Cooking Classes at Hester Creek Estate Winery offer you the rare experience of interacting with an acclaimed Chef in an intimate setting. You are one of only 14 guests seated at a granite island in a state of the art kitchen. The multi-course menu skillfully pairs delicate and intricate flavours with our award winning wines. Watch as the Chef prepares each course before you and shares little known culinary secrets. Take home the recipes as well as the memory of a truly unique experience.

Cooking class dinner menus will be posted as they are made available. Classes are $135.00 per person and include wine, taxes and gratuity. Door to door shuttle service is available for each class by prior arrangement.

Chef Bios

Chef Jeremy Luypen
Executive chef and proprietor Jeremy Luypen was born in the Fraser Valley of BC. At a young age he already knew that he enjoyed cooking for friends and family. While attending Okanagan University College in Kelowna, Jeremy enrolled in the Culinary Arts program. Following graduation Jeremy joined the culinary team at Okanagan Golf Course where he would work his way up to Sous Chef. Seeking a new challenge, Jeremy accepted a position at the Chicago Chophouse in Calgary, Alberta. After almost 3 years and feeling the pull of family, Jeremy came back to Kelowna and continued his culinary journey at the Hotel Eldorado. He saw the Eldorado through multiple dining awards and growth but after 4 years was given the opportunity to be an executive chef at Passa Tempo in Osoyoos. In 2011 Jeremy had a dream come true in opening his own restaurant, Terrafina at Hester Creek. With the help of co-owner April Goldale, Terrafina has become a huge destination in the South Okanagan and a fabulous addition to the Hester Creek property. It boasts authentic “Tuscan inspired” dishes and a wood fired oven, great pastas and lots of delicious BC wine.

Trama 
If you missed them last year, you will want to mark Friday July 6th on your calendar. Doni Underhill, Ray Roper, Brian Lousley and David Wills are the voices of ‘Trama’, a band which has been a mainstay in the Vancouver music scene for over two decades.

Though primarily a classic rock band, they stay current by including some of the newest songs on today’s charts in their sets. Trama has a good sense of what the market is calling for and attribute the band’s success to having the savvy to recognize what people want to hear. They understand their audience and can be counted on to get you on your feet dancing the night away!


Little Mountain Brass Band
LMBB is a brass band ensemble from Vancouver, BC. They are a recreational band that plays music arranged for British-style brass band. Enjoy the tones of cornets, flugelhorns, euphoniums, trombones and many, many more. Starting in September of 2005, they have evolved many times to the great style they are today.

Culinary Weekend Villa Package

Join us as we welcome Eric Pateman, chef and proprieter of Edible BC and now Edible Canada located primarily on Granville Island. This full evening experience will teach you the ins and outs of a top-level local chef. Paired with a stay at the Villa, this night will be like no other. Either when you arrive or after breakfast, join a wine shop associate as they take you through a guided tour of the winery with a tasting in the barrel cellar. Total cost for a four-course dinner paired with award winning Hester Creek wines, a tour, a stay at the Villa and a beautiful breakfast in the morning is $525.00/couple, plus taxes and gratuity. Chef Eric Pateman
Eric Pateman is a native Vancouverite who has spent his entire life exploring the culinary, world. He spends the majority of his time as the President and founder of Edible BC and Edible Canada – the country's largest culinary tourism operations. Edible BC, started in March 2005, is now comprised of a retail store in Vancouver's culinary mecca, Granville Island, as well as a tours and events division which operates numerous culinary adventures. In his spare time, Eric writes for numerous publications and sits on the boards of various culinary organizations.
